Canít you see
You ask the question
Making truths out of lies
Seeing something that isnít there
Optical illusion gone bad
Or emotions out of control
Open your eyes
Facts are facts
Yesterday is not today
And tomorrow shows
No signs of yesterday
Give it up
Accept it for what it is
Thinking you can force it
To go your way
When itís your dream alone
It takes two to tango
And your dance partner
Has left the stage
If you truly believe
It can happen again
Youíre delusional

God. Relationships. I don't think God taught us how to deal with those just quite yet. Thank you for this, Anne. Very powerful. Love and peace to you. Regis

Yep, it is what it is. I have a friend who says the cliche frequently, "Denial's not just a river in Egypt." My son hates the saying, but I've told him, "Some things stick around because they hit the mark." Your poem certain did. ~~Nordette

Perfectly prosed.....I can relate to this so much. They say love is blind and your words are an eye opener. Thanks for this post.
