If you need a friend.

For My Friends

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow.

If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder.

If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow.

If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile.

But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me.

Love ya'll,
Mary Lynn~

Let there be such oneness between us,
that when one cries the other tastes salt.

I'm tryin' ta get mah groove back.

It's been hectic down here!

Where's Nordette?

This is beautiful, Mary Lynn. And you use the poetic device of repetition well in this short poem. Friends need simply to be who they are without pretense in order to be good, trustworthy comrades.

Thank you for asking about me. LOL. Sage is right, and now it's my fault that I haven't finished up. My daughter sent me her part but I've been overwhelmed with lots of STUFF. ;-) Will get back to that project though soon. And Mark Rockeymoore's just finished up our CD project with Aberjhani. Whew! No rest for the wicked.

PS: The prayer's a hoot!
