My face in a looking glass In between the shadows pass My reflection is obscure Frustration watching standing near Heart crying out in misery Wanting to know the mystery Blood is dripping from the flow Angel wings won't let me go Rosebuds weeping on my hand They sense they know they understand Hidden in beauty a wicked thorn Songs of death lyrics torn Butterflies humming at the window Battered wings in the moon glow Frantically begging to be free Darkened eyes they cannot see Soaring vultures circle for remains Whirling choices scattered brains Tortured screeches on their tongue Death is peaceful Life is dung copyright Brenda M Weber 2004
