Your light slices through the fog your horn blasts out to many For every time your beam goes round I'd like to have a penny Ghostly ships pass by in darkness as you stand in statuesque glory Every man who sees your light is a legend or has a story Guide them on their lackadaisical way always let them hear your sound Youre the keeper of the sailors you stand true when theyre abound There are people in the harbor towns who are lonely and forlorn You stoic sentry are a reminder of lost loved ones they mourn With your vigilant watch in the night we quiet and peacefully sleep Dreaming in our mystical slumber dark mysteries in the abyss of the deep copyright Brenda M Weber 2004
