Kaiya Lee is my three-year old (pronounced K-eye-y-uh). She's forever off dreaming, living in her own world.

I sit and watch you twirl
Spinning in ruffles of pink tulle
Lacking music except for what
Might be playing in your dreaming head,
Fluttering here and there
Like a caffeine injected butterfly.
My tiny dancer, clumsy ballerina,
My blonde, curly-haired fairy child.
Your smile shines like a beacon
Illuminating the room before
Your crystal blue eyes are even seen.
Eyes usually twinkling with
Mischief and laughter.
My little clown, miniature jester
Your sweet giggles warm the soul.
I worry for you constantly
My beautiful, sensitive angel.
Are you too sweet for what life may
bring? So blissfully unaware
Of everything going on around you.
You'll expect so much of me.
But for now you're content
To be my tiny dancer.
