Drifting off to Dream

more Haiku fun ;)

Head resting on your
shoulder, absorbing your warmth
drifting into sleep.

Feather-light caress
slides sensuously across
silken cheeks flushed pink.

Eyes open slowly
and meet, invitation burns
in blue irises.

Lips parted in wait,
breath slowly exhaled, heartbeat
accelerating.

You close the distance,
slow slide of lips creating
inferno within.

Fingers slide into
hair, bodies press together
awaiting release.

Under moon and stars
we collide, souls verge into one
as we crest and fall.

Head resting on your
shoulder, glowing with spent heat
drifting off to dream.

As Robert said I was never one for Haikus but reading yours makes it look so effortless to express so much emotion, passion and love that I may have to consider learning more of this style. This is beautiful poetry.
