odd odd odd...in my head, had to write it...little depressed today :(

Velvet blackness pressing in
encasing me in steel bands of fear
feeling small, helpless and obsolete
the walls of this tomb draw ever near
breath drawn in fleeting gasps
must and rot permeating the air
trapped in this opressive dungeon
eyes glazing in an open stare
paralysis takes me slowly
draining my determination to fight
suffocating to their maniacal laughter
succumbing to the lunacy of the night

Excellent expression of that caged feeling, Danielle! It screams of longing for sunshine...or at least for music...

This is darkly wonderful, and imparts your feeling of depression perfectly. -- Jeff

Beauty and knowledge mingled in the poemization of "Asphyxia" - and art abounds in this magnificent composition in major art to enrich THE AMERICAN FINE LETTERS.

I salute You, Poet!
