let's blow out the candle light
put these old photographs away
they say time heals everything, right?
can't say I agree, no not today

cause even when I sleep I dream of you
just like I know you want me to
misty pictures dwelling my memory
you know we never really had a chance to be
least that's what I keep telling me
and my heart just won't believe that

but I wish it would

so you're too damn far away now
so much more than distance to span
if I could say I was sorry, somehow
would you look my way again?

yeah even when I sleep I dream of you
and I hope to God you miss me too
misty pictures fading in my memory
you know we never even had a chance to be
least that's what I keep telling me
guess my heart just won't believe that

but I wish it would
I wish we could

I can completely relate to what you have expressed, Danielle. I have not found the "time heals everything." Some holes in one's soul can never be filled again in this world/life. At least that's what I think. Love and best wishes,

You have written a piece so full of disillusioned passion and have done it so well. Your heart is hurting, but in time it will heal...in time.....

Be safe,
