I've got a voice inside my head
She sounds a lot like me
Except that her words and thoughts
Seem to echo resentfully
Her private contemplations
Always tend to dwell my mind
Which is disturbing, to say the least
For I truly despise her kind
I don't know why she's griping
All I do is keep her sane
Ungrateful little bitch
All she does is complain
Every single vicious thought
Those channel straight to me
I feed and gorge on bitterness
Until it's time to set it free
Sometimes that voice is frightening
When my resistance to her slips
The hateful things she wants to say
Come tumbling from my lips
Irrational accusations
Edging dangerously close to violence

That little girl would do nothing
She'd rather suffer in silence
I am vengence, I am rage
I am jealousy and spite
All the things she hides away
And keeps locked in so tight
I'm the key that turns the lock
I'm the desire to rip and rend
She has no conscience or respect
And I'm who loses in the end
I think I hate that voice
I hate that little child
She's fucking weak

She's so damn vile
Why can't she just..
Oh just shut up
I'm tired of waiting..

You've said enough
Don't you care what they think?
No, but soon they'll see
I'm you...

You're me?

Very compelling, Danielle. It reminds me of a conversation that I had with myself recently. Seriously, this is good. Love and peace,
