Cold Hearted

Ok, so I got the idea for this from situation that a friend of mine is in where a person that she dated won't take the hint that she wasn't THAT interested when they were together and that she wants him to leave her the H alone. It's kind of mean, but it's not exactly me saying to someone, so I suppose it's ok.

why can't you just leave me be?
let me wallow in my reveries
I'm breaking down again
crashing, I just don't know when
and you're in the middle of my mess
knowing you weren't even second best
I wish I could see
what you see in me

love's not even real
it's just pretty lies
it's a chemical reaction
that soon fades with time
and I don't know what I need
but I know it's not you
I can't love you back
and I don't want to

maybe it's history long forgotten
but you were never what I wanted
and I was there every night
laughing while you cried
watching you quietly bleed
am I REALLY what you need?
I wish I could see
what you see in me

love's not even real
it's just pretty lies
it's a chemical reaction
that soon fades with time
and I don't know what I need
but I know it's not you
I can't love you back
and I don't want to

so leave the pieces where they lie
don't whisper your sad goodbyes
I never even bothered with hello
that if nothing should let you know
I'm not worth this pathetic disgrace
I'll never let you be my saving grace
I just wish I could see
what you ever saw in me

love's not even real
it's just pretty lies
it's a chemical reaction
that soon fades with time
and I don't know what I need
but I know it's not you
I can't love you back
and I don't want to

Harsh and real but honest; this could be a song it seems to me. Nicely done, Danielle. Love and peace,

This should be read by some people who just don't GET IT. I don't think this is cold-hearted, but real. Sometimes, people act like stalkers when you just want it over. Good write.

A very dramatic look at a heartache.

Oh boy, life can sure be difficult at times and this sure sounds like one of them. What to do, what to do? Try speaking your mind point blank and if the other choses not listen there may be an even bigger problem on the horizon....

Be always safe,
Karen

Well sometimes all that gets through in situations like that is the brutatl truth and this write although not brutal, is honest and final, and if the hint were not taken after this than I would worry that the recipriant has possible stalker potential. Well done Danielle.

Danielle,

I've missed you - and you come back with a roaring, thought provoking piece - wow. Powerfully penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

So very true -- Love's an action not a chemical reaction and we would all be less slashed to pieces in life if we took relationships slow in the order God ordained to keep the pain at a minimum. Honeymoon first and than see if your compatible? Not for me.......See if your compatible and than the delights of the Honeymoon AFTER time tested. Great write -- Deborah
