From the depths of sleep and dark,
I watch over you with one eye closed.
Some call me Mother Moon.

In the silence of the night,
new life emerges and old life rests
in this Mother's arms.

I gaze down in awed wonder
And sometimes I shed a tear for you.
For I am the Goddess of the Night.

This poem has alot of depth to it, when you meditate on Cheryl's words. I myself love the night, and the moon over head in her many phases brings a sense of peace to me. Wonderful poem Cheryl! Yours truly again! Garry E. Lewis author of fiction.

Good poem as I hate nighttime and this is soothing to my soul and I should really enjoy the good old moon.
