This was one of my earlier songs/poems, written October 29, 1976. ;)

What if the flowers had no bloom?
What if a bride had no groom?
What if trees had no leaves
That could rustle in the breeze?

What if the sky wasn't blue?
What if God's love wasn't true ?
What if Jesus never came?
Then we'd all be the same
And we'd never know His name.

What if God's word was never heard?
What if we'd never read before:
"I am the way, the truth and life"?
Jesus said, "I am the door."

what if, indeed...we would all exist in a lifeless, colorless world. and we would be doomed not knowing there was a way out from sin--and that is our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

thought provoking and well written--BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :(

This is very nice. To me, the darkness at the bottom of the picture adds to the creativity, symbolizing the darkness of humanity before receiving an understanding of "the door." Enjoyed.
