This poem is meditative in nature, though I have spent hours gazing at seals while they frolicked along the shore line.

Brief periods of gazing towards the sun,
when dreamy thoughts are cast,
shadows dance from clouds that are spun.
Thinking this memory may not last,
yet enjoying it till the day is done.

Waves rolling in on a lonely beach,
emerald waters that sparkle like glass.
Seals frolicking beyond anyone's reach,
like little children just out of class.
They too, have something to teach.
