Aung San Suu Kyi is a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
But she’s not allowed to go out
She is the Asian Hero
But that doesn’t mean a thing ...

Aung San Suu Kyi
A
courageous woman
Wise, beautiful and strong
Living in Burma … a chaotic nation
O
verrun by junta tyranny

She is a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
But she’s not allowed to go out
She is the Asian Hero
But that doesn’t mean a thing

She sits alone at home
Military men have cut off her phone
Guards barring her door
No one coming, no one going
Yes, she’s all alone

Alone she is determined to remain
Until her country’s people are freed
Living in true democracy
Free to come and go
Without oppression, or rape
No pillage, no fear
W
hen they’ve been liberated
And are free to stroll in clear air

Yes, Aung San Suu Kyi
Has sacrificed her life
On behalf of fellow countrymen
She has sacrificed her life
Because it’s not worth living
When people are suffering at the hands of greed
and strife

She knows that freedom is fundamental
And is determined to remain
Asserting a peaceful life declaration
In trust and knowledge that one day,
Freedom will be seen as the most precious reason alive …
And in Burma this must begin

Abiding in absolute freedom

Breathing and living for one another
In grace and dignity
This peaceful power
Oh Aung San Suu Kyi
Daring to stand for a cause that embraces the entire world

Your life is a Blessing Aung San Suu Kyi!
Thank you isn’t enough!

a fitting tribute to one who has realized the purpose of life and given that of herself, which is outside of the ability of most to comprehend, let alone emulate. thank you for drawing attention to her plight!

Like Matin Luther King, Mother Teresa, and Nelson Mandelia, Aung San Sou Kyi will do more for her people than all the postering diplomats in an uncaring world.

Your words do much honour to Madame Aung San Suu Kyi and highlight certain issues that require much thought.
Regarding the phrase "absolute freedom" I'd like to add that "absolute freedom" is an attitude of the spirit, a perspective that is determined by a certain state of mind which individual and society must build up from within. Its precondition is absolute devotion. It's the heart that liberates the mind. Social changes hence start with changes in the outlook or the perspective of those who constitute society as oppression is made possible only by structures that give oppression a basis.
May it be granted to man to see the day of his own liberation!

In brotherhood and deep respect,
Mahdi

Wonderful write and tribute. It's moments such as these that I'm proud to be from where I am and who I am but most of all to be free. Bless You, My Friend.

This cry is clearly the world's deep-lying imprisonment of body and soul. It is a mean-spirited ploy to refuse daily existence to the have-nots demoted by the masterful control haves, greedy demons. Global humankind desperately needs to attain selflessness while working in the world actively and with the fullest humane energy. These who are ambitious in worldly aims, ones like you, Suzie benefit the liberation of human kind. Blessed Be.
