Trying to find time alone
Can really truly be strange
Go away dear friend of mine
I need to write a page

But life is now
I hear you say
Live with me this day

And along I go
To share a song
Moments are precious this way
We have good times; enjoy life’s wine
In step we happily sway

But I must go now
Please hear, I pray
Writing a book means
Alone, I need stay

So here I sit
The time has come
To work happily away
But instead, my mind has written a rhyme
Expressing me today!

How you touch a tender nerve. Much of my writing is alone but many of the ideas come from people I have been with.

Suzie, as a book writer and poet, and a lover of internet chatting I know exactly what you are talking about and so crave the day I can buy a laptop to just take off to the beach or cottage or even a supermarket cafetaria to work. LOL ahhh but if we didn't have these distractions would we be we?
Hugs and happy writings,

I too like this Suzie.
I ride my bicycle twenty or so miles in the morning, but I still sometimes have to force myself away from the keyboard and go outside for a walk or anything just to clear my mind. However, even when I do that my mind is still on writing. Thinking of a verse or a rhyme, a short story in it's own time. Writing is still more of a blessing than a curse for me. But we all need other people lest we become reclusive, which sometimes ain't bad...LOL

Writing is lonely, it's getting past the conscious and in to the subconscious where ones work begins, losing all sense of time....

I like this. I have been known to have a conversation with myself (online) from time to time . . . Kinda clears the air, ya know?
