After reading himself to sleep with the works of Stalin
he greeted the day refreshed and invigorated
and poured a bowl of generic cornflakes with powdered milk
Intent on proving a vast right wing conspiracy
he nibbled on his breakfast
while scouring the internet
in search of proof that 9-11
was an inside job

He closed his eyes for a moment
and imagined his perfect world
A world of workers dressed
in the same drab clothes
eating the same meals
earning the same credit vouchers
A world with no personal ownership
where high ranking government bureaucrats
made all of his decisions

He cursed the businesses that had left his state
because of the excessive
corporate taxes and
uncompromising union pressure
Then he cursed the businesses that hadn’t left
and wished that everything was free
He took pride in the fact that he always
voted yes on every bill for increased spending
without ever having read one

He looked at the time
sighed a breath of relief
got dressed
grabbed his “No Borders”
picket sign and left his
government-sponsored closet

Anything complicated, eventually fails...therefore, why worry about the wrench, when a wing nut only requires a little strength and two fingers to loosen! lol!
(I have no idea where that came from!)

Read your BIO and was thouroughly inspired in the fullness, your life has been lived...the traveling, the open seas, the experiences...You've been Blessed...

Excellent pen!

The way things have become these days and I am not sure if true "freedom" will ever reign again...

Strong statement though with a sense of humour that wryly matches the statements made all too often in this society today. Well done.

Nice case of contradictions.
