Laced with
Blood dripping from
Reason –
Which
Beguiles one’s thoughts.
Smile sweetly through
The burning –
Ache
Which fragments the senses
In its searing wake.
Take refuge in torrid quietude
Numbed with grief,
Troubled moments –
Garbled
With memories
Which unsettle
And wrench -
Bygone eras invade and
Delude,
Upset and poison
With their everlasting stench.
