The Rarely seen Manatee

Deep in warm water beyond our gaze

Moving so slowly in the heat of the haze

Gentle and pedantic are your ways

That's how you spend your Caribbean days

Not blessed with beauty I think we agree

But there again, that's not up to me.

You'll find a mate pleasing to see

By fumbling along the bottom of the sea.
