Merry Christmas...

making it through a day…
sometimes… sometimes…
can be painful
it’s a season of hope…
yet… it does look bleak

sometimes… sometimes…
it would be easy to hide…
and disappear
forget responsibilities
and… just shut down

then I wonder…
where we’d be… if…
if… He shut down…
and disappeared

that little bit of hope…
wouldn’t exist because
without His birth
without His life…
there’d be no hope…

Merry Christmas

Your words ring true, Dave. For those who believe, there is always hope and
"The Promise". Nice work.

You are so right, Dave, with this thoughtful meditation on life. Hope was born in a manger and celebrated with an empty tomb.
Life is tough, but God is waiting for each one to yield to Him through faith in Jesus, His Son. Then hope becomes reality even while the storms churn around us.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
