Musings at three in the morning when sleep alludes me...

The Agony and the Ecstasy of Little Death

little death in a lover’s seeking arms

when the moon is at its height

little death so sexily satisfying

in the middle of an endless night

little death can take ones breath away

leaving sweet shudders moans and sighs

little death is surly heaven on earth

a shangri la between a lovers thigh

little death is nature’s unbiased miracle

the start for all births and babes

little death is just a hollow echo

of the love that each heart craves

little death the only thing not taxable

from puberty to grave it endures

little death could be the ultimate reward

for passing through life’s heavy doors

Fine write. I call it compensation. I could use a little death right now. In fact, I wouldn't mind dying over and over again. Pardon, its the waxing of the moon...

great flow, Felix ... the repitition of "Little Death" is very effective and reinforces the poem's momentum to march through both the agony and ecstasy of "life's heavy doors" ...

Felix,

Le petit mort, I've heard of that, dang. Stimulating write, shall we say? Whose in the mood for love? LOL

Excellent write, well done! VERY well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :) *almost couldn't type my name LOL*

Le petit mort...yes indeed. Though for me it can be a sleep inducing elixir, it can also rev me up and leave me in a charged-up, wakeful state while my partner is snoozin' with a big grin on his face...that is the perfect time to head for the couch with a trashy romance novel. Come morning, my partner is going to be wondering what got me in such a "naughty girl" mood. Cute write, Felix.

Take care,

Sherry
