For all the single parents out there and especially for S.

A Son’s Advice To A Single Mom

She looked across at him and smiled

A contented smile of sacred love

Eighteen years she fretted

This gift God had sent her from above

She had soothed him through his teething

Wiped tears away at schools first day

Sat shivering at every sports field game

The price she so willingly did pay

She kissed away his little boo boos

Put band aids on with gentle hand

Listened to his bedtime prayers and wishes

She always tried to understand

She recalls him proudly waving his license

The first time he took her car alone

And his first date choked her up a lot

Knowing soon he’d leave her home

A single mom she had struggled to survive

To make a home for her little man blue

Now her little man was all grown up

She wasn’t so sure now what to do

But he held out his arms and embraced her

Saying Mom it’s time for you to start

To find the love that you deserve

It’s ok with me if you share anew your heart.

Hey Bro,

This goes for the single fathers too. Life can be even more of a challenge when our young ones start to pull away from us to become their own persons. Great Write Bro,

Love ya,

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, Felix, this is precious beyond measure. Well done! This hits close to home--my Daddy is a blessed man. He found love twice--my mother, who died 15 years ago, was his first; my stepmom is his second. Most men can't find love once!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)

I had this same conversation with my Mom...only she didn't listen!
This is a subject matter that many need to be hearing. Kids are not rocks..They know when Mom or Dad is not happy, and they also know if the parent is happy they have an easier pathway as well.
Good message here Felix!

This is absolutely beautiful and a message so needed to those that have struggled for so long. Kids like their parents to be happy too :-)
