Sometimes we look back to see such moments in our life when love meant everything even when we knew it couldn't last...

AVision in Blue Jean Cut-offs

By: Fee

Just like a dirty old man, once again

I dream sweet images of you

In those short denim shorts you loved

A halter-top in pale powder blue

I watched you running through fields

Oh Angel you were just out of reach

I saw you giggling and jiggling

With your laughter and your smiles

Life was a sweet lesson only you could teach

I watched as your giggles subsided

As you gently held out your hand

You always knew just what I needed

Just for a while to feel your sweet love

Love that felt like a burning fiery brand

Ah… but when my lips tasted yours

And fingers caressed forbidden desires

You always brought me so much closer

Into true love’s own burning hot fires

Now my images are changing

To the darkest of night in our bed

Sated, I watch you quietly breathing

Remembering each word that you said

Knowing we were but a fleeting moment in time

And an Angel had just made love to my mind

Leaving such sweet sensual completeness

Rapture like this never again would I find

Then you slipped through my fingers

Leaving just teardrops behind in your place

No more little giggles and wiggles

All that was left was just a big empty space

But somewhere, someday, we’ll meet again

For love’s something I know

that time can’t erase…

This poem shows me how different it can be when a touching of body, mind and spirit take place without deception just kind reality of giving and receiving knowing it won't or can't last. Fond memories take over with a touch of possible sadness. Thanks for sharing what it can be like. Deborah

That we should dare to love knowing that all things are impermanent is a testament to our hearts and spirits - and to love, itself. This is a beautiful, heartstirring write.

The one inventing those Jeans Cut-offs was called Big Tease and when you see one of those creatures romping about the name comes like a tight glove in a cute hand.
Thanks for the reminiscences, although I bathed, derfor, I am not a dirty old man.
