After reading Shiela Roy's beautiful poem this morning I was inspired to write this one...

In the darkest of hours of our secret shared dream

On a moonbeam I fly to our favorite fantasy scene

Where night tones of rich sepia, black and blue-gray

Become our dreamscape colors when day slips away

I gaze in wonder at your Goddess beauty refined

Your every curve, every angle so purely defined

Your breathing is soft like a blessed Angelic sigh

You turn in sleep to give a glimpse of an inviting thigh

Lighting spark ignites fires of an inferno to come

I lay down beside you, my heart pounds like a drum

My lips taste the sweetness of such a stolen delight

You murmur out my name in the illusion of night

In this second world naked we’ve no need for shame

Desire and love truly, here, are all one and the same

Our passion draws me into you and you into me

Pushing deeper and deeper until love sets us free

The joining of our two bodies pressed hips to hips

The melting of our two hearts pressed lips to lips

Harder and faster, an explosion of morning sky-blue

Sated in dream world I awake lonely so far from you…

Fee,
So beautifully written. I'm flattered to have inspired you to write this wonderful dance of romance. It feels like a continuation of my poem, yet far more sensual and vivid. Maybe it's the next night? lol. This one goes to my library. I have too many favorite lines to mention. Love and Hugs,
Sheila

Wow, this poem exudes passion and sexuality. I loved the softness of it, and the explosiveness too.
I will have to read Sheila's poem to see why this was written..
Much love, light and peace to you dear Fee,

From some dreams one wishes to no wake up.
A romantic poem that cannot be written without having lived it a thousand times and...survived!
