You and I

You and I

I held out my heart and you took it
Cradled it in love’s sweet embrace
You healed the scars that had festered
That I was told only time could erase

You told me I should stop pretending
To be someone that I couldn’t be
You wiped away long ago teardrops
Through your eyes I could now see

Past bad memories are best forgotten
It’s time to treasure this special gift
Our two hearts attuned to each other
No longer lonely lost souls set adrift

I will kiss you each evening at sunset
As often as I wake through the night
My lips will seek you at each sunrise
Each kiss telling me that all is right

Now all that’s left to say is I love you
With a love they write movies about
Without you in my live I am nothing
Eternal my heart’s yours without doubt…

physical contact, the good morning kiss and embrace the evening's togetherness, snuggle, are essential elements of loves expression and reassurance for each of us -- you tell this poetically in this rendering Felix -- it is the tender expression of submission to love -- I bid you joy, love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

This is heart-achingly tender, vulnerable and honest, Felix, and written with perfect precision so that the thoughts spill upon the page just right. This is penned both from within the misty-eyes of an unquenchable passion and with the clear, long-sighted view of a soul that has found its mate. Intoxicatingly beautiful, and as only you can write. Bless you, Kate xx
