lying in bed,slumber and dead,
my senses are offguard
and I sleep cosy and hard.
my mind wanders off, into a land
of dreams and images;
slides gently craddle
me into a small death.
suddenly out of my skin!
I jump!
a noise ,thunder and lightning
has awakened me to life.
turmoil ,fear and alertness
take over my body and
rock me into numbness.
Sleep is lost
to this Brittany night of chaos...

Powerful poetry. I find the reference to Brittany intriguing. All of my relatives live there. My parents were from Brittany, France. Hence my name, Régis. Merci. Amour et paix.
