A Hellish Dream


I seem to wake but am asleep,
As I lie ,on mossy beds.
My thoughts,in vicious heat astir,
Stir in my head like fate.
As I am awake but am asleep.

Nightmares stiffle me to
Hell and there I am awake,
As heaven is a closed gate where
souls ,deprived,are a mistake.
A hellish dream ,I make..

Good description of being caught in that haslf-wakeful half-sleepful twilight zone that we all get into as we awaken or fall asleep.
