I don't think it's a poem, but its feelings. VA is beautiful.

The Blue Ridge Mountains

Sitting on a flannel blanket resting my back on a strong tree I hold my cup of hot coco in my gloved hands, and have a hoodie on my head since it’s only 41 cold degrees I am waiting for the beautiful diamonds in the sky which we call stars to disappear for the sun to rise giving us a fall day of beauty.

The sun comes and shines its beauty on the colorful fall leaves that still have not fallen for the next season to start

The beauty is like a rainbow after a storm

God has given me a chance to sit at the Blue Ridge Mtns to enjoy the last days of awe.

Families come and take there camera’s to capture the beauty for memories to come.

I hear the laughter of children behind me

They are raking up the leaves and than jumping into the pile with others.

I walk a little farther and hear some children say, “I want this pumpkin. No I want this one.” As a dad picks up both treasures that the children pointed too.

The Blue Ridge Mtns take my breath away

Going back with my blanket and basket

I cuddle around the fire with others to have hot coco and hear all the stories the children have to share

God what a beautiful day that you have given us, not just for the memories but for another day to praise your GREATNESS

The Blue Ridge Mountians

Hi:
This is beautiful sentiment and imagery. My poem, "Blue Ridge Autumn" has some of the same point of view:

I am possibly going to Va and will see some of those blue ridege mts too. I went last yr over Thanksgiving and hoping to go this year. They always are awesome and inspire me to think about nature and how they are put there by God for all to enjoy. Awesome things mean a lot to me. What a good creation we have made by God for people to enjoy and rmember and enjoy.
