Any time when I venture inside a frozen forest for a calm walk, I hear that crunching under my feet, but until now, I never thought of crickets.
A tranquil poem, visualizing a poetess in front of a fireplace, writing.

| You have such sensitivity to your subject, Carole, and you do winter proud and paint her STUNNING in all her glittering apparel. The held breath and sigh of those pines is really felt and just love the voiced protests of snow under the boots... mine ellicit frog's croaking, for some reason! :))Meticulous and elegant work as always. xx |

| Carole, your photograph is breathtaking -- your Haiku summons winter right into the room with me -- as if I am sharing my indoor space with winter's frigid bite -- "the face of winter -- pushing against the windows -- ice crystal etchings" -- winter's art, making itself visible, and felt by all -- this is a remarkably beautiful piece -- much peace and love to you my dear friend -- Jon Michael |
