A Collaborative effort from the pens of
Carole Mathys and Jon Michael Willey

Lured by a Lady in Lace

Her long slender legs

move gracefully

in articulated rhythm

a look I must confess

I cannot easily ignore

        ~~ ah, succulent prey approaches

              my silken web hums

               with a sirens whispered call

               so hard to resist ~~

the magnetism of sheer lace

lures me to her

glistening in the sunlight

~~ I must taunt and tease

to awaken and fuel his need

                enticing him ever closer ~~

spun with intricacy, deception's eye

my senses suggest

a Machiavellian weave

channeling my primordial instincts

~~ I shall play the coy maiden

               keeping the prey confused

              igniting his growing curiosity

              of unknown pleasures ~~

she is seductive, a charmer

but certainly. Able am I to disarm her

this mere spinner of silken webs

I'll enter into the mysteries

of her Lacey abode

sweep her from her many dainty feet

with my romantic aplomb

~~ come to me my pretty

let me wrap you in a

               a silken embrace

One you will never forget ~~

surely, this prim ingénue

will quickly fall to my delicate touch

how intriguing I muse

curious, the steps to her door

grip firmly at my feet

~~ welcome to my lair sweet one

but you must be patient my love

              I will come to you

and the seduction will begin ~~

retreat I now frantically seek

but am unable to move, or leave

caught in this web of intrigue

as she is now approaching

with great haste

what beauty is this transformed

into the face of living hell

~~ ah,  at last my sweet

curiosity has led you to me

where the pleasure is all mine

               a captive lover, indeed ~~

A finer collaboration than this will be hard to find...spinning the web between two who know of the enticing encounter and the captured within a web...

My goodness you two have created a masterpiece with this sensuous gem! Kudo's to both of you! I have a similar pic but not as clear as yours, I'm glad they didn't cut the size too much. Perfect combo!

A wonderful poem, you two work well together and with such a descriptive poem, I was trying very hard NOT to see the imagery of the spiders *shudder* and focus on the emotions of the words! Nicely done, thanks for sharing. Shay

Wow, all the mysterious wonders that we are surrounded with and mostly hardly notice. Yet you bring it all out to the forefront so delicately. A fantastic joining of the pen to express such lovliness of the heart...

A collaboration, of a lover "black widow" and drone? A trip inside the labyrinth of hearts and mind trying to convince us that's OK to come to the parlor. Fly butterfly...fly!
