glory light

horizon fire brimmed

i empty the weight of the last

and turn sunward to the new

fire dim

ceiling awash in topaz

i untangle my mind from you

and draw a breath I knew

pale ebony

lanscaped in caution

I align with false securities

and brace for precious few

gray treadstone

mocking mad shadows

I close my heart to the death

another heartbeat less you
