I think I've found my medium lol...I have decided that from now on, I shall post my poems with an accompanying video. Some poems just cry out to be read aloud so here for your delectation is a live rendition of Let's do it. Sorry to those of you are having trouble trying to view the video's (your not missing much lol). Apologies for the sound again...especially the guitar parts lol...Enjoy!

Letís do it!

Letís all meet up before it all ends

letís eat, drink, and be merry

in good company, the very best of friends

letís all play host and tell a tale or two

and watch the summer smiles of we happy few

then with eyes and glassesí full

drink a toast to the World we once knew.

Paul, this was just marvelous! I loved it. I didn't know you played the guitar. That really adds to the video. I've got to see how to make a video...second thought, I might scare others away! Can't wait to see more of your videos Paul. Your tone of voice is the perfect pitch for your poems. Helen

Oh! I'm in love. Bikeshed, 6 tonight your time. LOL. Loved the video and the poem. Careful, you may end up in my Spoken Word blog with Mr. Acey. And I just happen to have a friendship poem in my blog today, "Seaworthy," that I wrote off the cuff in an online slam. You look good on video, Paul. :-) ~~Nordette

Nothing worse than a reformed drinker joining you and singing: 'I get no kick from champagne, alcohol doesn't thrill me at all...'

World we once knew? Which one are we talking about? A Down and Out in London and Paris? Barbara Cartland? Albert Tatlock? My, my, how have we managed to survive a post - Albert Tatlock society?

Paul ...

I am in agreement with you brother. Its fast swirling down the loo into the goo of humanities foolishness. I'm thankful though, fellow poet, that there is still an inordinate amount of beauty in the midst of the escalating chaos.
