The movie "Mercury Rising" is not just about a child whose parent's are killed by the mob: it speaks directly to the topic of child abuse. The lyrics herein, work in progress, reflect the music and tone of this theme, and hopefully, I have managed to convey a part of it herein. Best to be reviewed with the music from the soundtrack if you can get to it. The main theme and the child's theme are covered, but not exactly fitted: web access and computer access are constrained to <140 minutes a day at the moment.

[To be done: fitting the exact phrasing to the two main themes from Mercury Rising:]

{Main theme: mercury Rising}
{Child’s Theme: Mother & Father}

My mother … my father

I need you … where are you?

(tonal change: somber)

My mother … my father

I need you … where are you?

(Tonal change: resolution)
My mother, my father …

        (Fin)

#2: Main Theme

Mercury, rising, down, on thee

Percuring Hopes & Dreams, as Thy Destiny

Venus Turns, bearing Sad Lament

Down the darkened Voids, that Hath Pluto Lent

            Down inside my Deepest Soul

            Will Come the Rising Dawn

                        And I Will Carry On

            Deep Inside my Soul

That I Will Bear Thee On

#8:  Restatement

You are my mother; you are my father

Titan charms young maiden Ganymede

Slighting those, harmed, bade insanities

Summer’s warmth, verdance, springs, maid chaste

Autumn’s winters bring, lashing down, laid waste

            Io flies towards Jupiter

And I Will Raise The Stars

                        A Newlit Juniper

#11:  Closure

Season’s Fruits will bring sad lament

Should Reason’s Lose, All Grounds, Be Thou Glad: repent

Man, well meant, unto Lunacy

Crying sad lament, always Few, ne’er He

            Deimos’ rage Feeds Phobias

While Those most Sage, seed Cornucopias

#2: Close

Jupiter Has Aligned With Mars

Thru the Firmament, Crost a Billion Stars

Neptune’s Guest, Saturnalian

Kept in Chests & hearts, Cold Uranian

I duly Love All I see

And newly Loved, Show their mercy, maiden me

Lord O God of Love yet Please

That you let me Love my own Persephone

Left overs:

Under sway of the rising Sun

One more (Wonder/wander) day (way), love’s reprise, begun

Sol/goal

Solaris/Polaris

Solarian/proletarian/Rotarian/notarian (no tarrying)
