Each day flows like wine
Every moment is a rare vintage
Taste the fat, round smoothness
that wraps around your tongue
as the past and future intertwine
Same source, but transmuted
by alchemy after the juice is pressed
from the soul of the grape
at the magic of its transformation
for you can’t go back to the fruit
Savor the flavors
because each day flows like wine
and every moment is a rare vintage

Indeed, with age comes beauty, not the superficial but the content.
Every second is unique.
Keep singing in the vines.

Symbolic and meaningful verses; they also remind me of when I made my own wine from my homegrown grapes down in the valley before I moved up to this mountain. Very nicely done, Lin. Love and best wishes,

I love this one! And it is so true...every moment we are here is "rare vintage" our youth, we don't see that but as we age it becomes abundantly clear. Excellent write!

Well said!!

Message comes through loud and clear, and a very important message it is!

Had to quit the grape, but it doesn't mean I can't indulge in the metaphorical variety from time to time. Believe I'll have the red.
Won't you join me?
