The Gold that lies within the Vaults
Of guarded chambers; still shines,
Exhuming its unholy glow
The People treasure it and live for it
Many Die, More suffer
But the sinister glow prevails
Wars starts, Nations succumb, Cultures ravished
But Gold still shines within the vaults
The actions often justified
By solely that matter
The social and cultural foregone
But Gold prevails
So let us not get indulged within The Evil shine
Let us rejoice in simple things
Forgoing greed, envy, and pain
So that the sentries of the metal become those of us.
------ this will be the first of still undetermined number of blank verse poems , dealing with human achievements and fallacies; I intend to compile an experimental "saga" - see how that works out
