This piece shows my lighter side; my sense of humor as it were. I like laughter; I make it a habit to laugh everyday. In my opinion it is a deterrent for stress and strife.
Before Abraham was, I am- that’s what the Bible says
The Creator of heaven and earth, also, gave us nights and days,
The moon, the stars, the skies, the sun- Our Father made them all
The beautiful flowers in the Spring; the colors of nature in Fall.
When God created man, He made a garden just for him.
Then God created woman so man’s future wouldn’t be dim.
He put them in the garden where they lived side by side
There were fruits and flowers everywhere, and lots of animals to ride.
Everything was going great for a little while
Then along came the serpent to cramp Adam and Eve style.
The serpent offered the woman a piece of the Forbidden Fruit
‘ Come on Eve and have a piece and you’ll find out the truth.
You know that God is lying; He doesn’t want you to know.
Take one bite of this apple and everything will become clear to you.’
So Eve went against the Father, she succomb, and took a bite
And then she went to Adam and gave him some that night.
Soon everything became apparent; they tried to hide their bodies.
Adam and Eve were naked; they started feeling ill at ease.
So they ran around looking for cover; they needed a place to hide
They had to make two leafy loin cloths to cover up their pride
They ran around in confusion, just as scared as they could be.
Those two hard headed humans really made the Lord angry.
The Lord was very angry; they listened to satan instead of Him.
When they ate the Forbidden Fruit those two committed the first sin.
With a booming voice God scolded them and banished them from Eden.
He drove them out of Paradise to fend for themselves; no more garden.
Those two must have been petrified; you see they had no money;
No road maps, no limousines, and no extended family
They were cut off from their source of food; they had no animals to ride.
Lord Adam and Eve were in a mood; they had to face the Great Divide.
Decked off in their loin cloths they had to face the wicked heat.
With no Jimmy Choos or Manaolos to protect their blistering feet
They had no Totes umbrellas; I guess they got their just desserts.
On the outer side of Eden there were no roadside stops, no weather alerts.
I am so ticked off at Adam and Eve because now we all have to die.
Why sell out for a piece of apple? Eve should’ve held out for a piece of pie
In the Old Testament, I Am That I Am rendered punishment for the disobedience of Adam and Eve. But in the New Testament, True Love offers us redemption.
On my bio page of AuthorsDen I tender my position: "What I focus upon becomes reality. I have the power to choose."
God gave us that power. The choice is ours: a miserable piece of apple or the whole pie?
"The Forbidden Fruit"--a fascinating narrative poem.
Can you imagine what life would've been like had Eve not listened to that old Serpant....I enjoyed your write very much....Glad I stopped by.

The sentiments are noted, I often feel the same way, BUT... the bigger piece of the pie awaits, and Satan will be exposed, destroyed once and for all, yeah!
What a great take on the story of Adam and Eve! But really, Pamela, they both should have held out for an entire pie then waited for the Lord to bless it:-) Would have worked out a whole lot better I think, but then who am I to rearrange divine destiny:-) Peace and blessings--
