Ice Maidens

Layered with multiple crystals
They dance in a twirling motion
Effortlessly floating towards the Earth
While brushing feather-like kisses
To anything they touch
Spiraling down from the stars
Their glittered beauty dresses Mother Earth
Reflections of palest silver, blue, pink and white
Itís as if the stars have graced us with
         some magic powdered dust
Hush is the sound they make

Absolutely beautifully written..."brushing feather-like kisses to anything they make snow sound magical. Great poem, Helen. I'm from Canada, where there is lots of snow, and you made me see it a little differently...nice imagery.
