Warmth
by Barbara Lynn Terry
I don't like to talk about things that are dark
I don't like to talk about things that are morbid
and I don't like living in dank, smelly places.
I love gaeity, fun, happiness, love and acceptance.
I love colors that are vibrant, pretty, like the rainbow
or the Northern Lights in the land of the midnight sun.
I love to see the colors in nature change with the seasons.
I love to hear the laughter of children playing.
I love the songs that the birds sing.
I love watching all the animals scurry, trot, or gallop along.
I love the azure blue of the summer sky.
I love how the pool is cold at first but warms to my body.
I love all the things that peace can bring. I love every man
as though he were my brother and ever woman as though
she were my sister.
I love the warmth of the sun, I love the warmth of a fireplace.
I love the warmth you get from a meaningful hug
and I love the warmth of a genuine smile.
I love for I have a warm heart.
