I first wrote this for a girlfriend.. it was written as though her words.. but over time I found that the meaning belonged to myself as well - this version here is written as though my words.

Mother destiny
-From your immortal hands,
send me the gift of foresight.
Your son is all but weak in your
fire-wonder eyes.

Never questioning
-I've long endured, and not
alone kneeling before you.
Recoiling nothing in shame
for you author all.

My awakening
-Send me not from your craft
miracle-maker, teach me.
Lest wisdom's hour expose my strength
as a false-charm's act.

The hate within me
-Its black sea of shadows
Dissipates at your doorstep.
I wish to drown in my loathing;
grant my eyes new sight.

Nameless entity
-Permit me safe passage
through many sand storms of time.
I discover all mastery
in service to you.
