|Rising each day... AD... be strong and write every word and share your wisdom... After, watching "Rise of the Planet Apes", and seeing him inject his father in the movie and temporarily cure him with AD, but come back even harder... gave me a better understanding... Thanks for sharing...|

|It is good your writing about it. It helps in healing. My heart goes out to you what helps me deal and acceptmthe disease of Lupus is to remind myself I am not the disease I am seperate then the disease. Your seperate and your a beautiful child of God.

As friends,we have shared much. And though,I have seen the pain this disease brings, I also know that this disease is not you. It does not define who you are or all, that you are. When I think of you, I do not think of Mary having Alzheimers. I rather think,"boy, Alzheimers picked the wrong person to pick on this time"!. This disease can never take away the joy that you bring to me, everytime I think of you. Keep fighting my friend. You are small but you are mighty. God made you that way and his works are wonderous.

|MaryGrace, my prayers will be for God to grant you strength and endurance and to give you a miracle. My Dad had Alzheimers and each of us gathered around and saw to it that he was never without someone reading, talking, and keeping him energetic...your writing will help you tremendously, keeping your mind active and alert. Don't ever give up because God is mightier than we are and He will see you through this. God Bless.|

|Mary Grace I am so sorry to hear this, my mother stays with a dear family friend whom also has alzheimers. She is eighty four and does very well. She was diagnosed more than eight years ago. It's amazing how well she really does, her son is a doctor and his wife a nurse. My mom and I were just talking about the medicine that she is taking and how we feel it has made such a difference in the progression of the disease. She was prescribed the meds shortly after the diagnosis. Our pastors mother was diagnosed near this time with alzheimers disease as well, but wasn't put on the meds until a few years later and she hasn't done as well as the lady that my mom stays with. This lady is amazing, her long term memeory is fantastic, and short term on most days is good. She continually reads, writes things down, journals and reflects over the days events before retiring for bed...prayer, a loving family, and support from friends will help much my friend...I will continue to pray for you, and add you to our church prayer chain, always someone praying twenty four seven...stay in touch, keep writing, and we'll keep reading!
