This week has been extremly hard. I try to forget or pretend I don't have this disease. Then I can't remember something and reality hits me cold and clear !

Sometimes I feel lost

I'm loosing cognative control

Can't rememebr words, places

Don't know what I was doing

Become repetative and confused

Fell inadaquate and frustrated

Hope lingers in the distance

For a medical miracle

Life goes on at an uneven pace

AS

I face an uncertain furure

...AND YOU ARE STILL 'ADRIFT'...DRIFTING ON THE 'SEA OF 'HIS' LOVE! WHAT A MARVELOUS JOURNEY YOU ARE ON AND NEVER, NEVER...ARE YOU ALONE! THERE, AS YET, IS NO CURE BUT THANK GOD FOR THE MIRACLE MEDICATION THAT 'DELAYS' THE SYMPTOMS QUITE A BIT. BEAUTIFUL AND THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

We are praying for you and for a cure for this disease. I spent a couple of hours with a long time family friend whom my mother is a caretaker for the other night...she was diagnosed several years ago with alzheimer's disease...sad, such a sad disease...I enjoyed my visit, she couldn't remember much about the current events, but of those from years ago, she was able to give me many details and recalled so much, I think she enjoyed that trip down memory lane from many years ago. Prayers coming your way my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

MaryGrace, my prayers are with you everyday and I do hope the medication will soon be working and bringing you some relief. I pray God will touch you with a powerful hug and bring you some peace of mind. Your poem is great & describes exactly how you're feeling and it has touched my soul to the core. Wish I could just do or say something that would be of help. God Bless.
