I hadn't been out of the service very long . . .was living on the streets of east side New YorkCity. . .sleeping in Washington Square Park at night . . .feeling
very revolutionary and frustrated . . .remember those days??

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bullshit, bullshit, bull . . .
People dancing, drinking, sitting in minds full of death;
kalideoscoped into a song . . .
But he who sits and watches detached from all this wonder canít see what they will miss . . .

You wondering hoards of aimless asses!
Who among you can take the place? . . .
of broken bottles in a gutter . . .
or a broken pane and busted shutter? . . .

Fuck you, I say! . . .And may you suffer for all your
petty fornications . . .
For your loves that lay wasted . . .
For the hope that your mind has tasted . . .

How can your society, by building bombs and building planes and training men to kill . . .
How can you say a better world will be made
by your efforts of destruction? . . .

You fools! You asses! You old-maids!
You forever murderers! . . .
Why do you kill the only living thing you ever loved?
The love of life . . .May you perish by your bombs!!!Motherfuckers . . .Kalideoscoped into a joke . . .Mankind.

Congratulations on a such a successful first entry into AD! With luck, one day we will learn from our mistakes, but the way things are going, I seriously doubt it. Humans are the slowest learners of all...

First of all, thank you for your service. *SALUTE*

Secondly, welcome to Author's Den. You are among friends and you won't be lonely any more.

A disturbing write in the fact that nothing seems to have changed. There is still a lot of anger and unrest--the sixties revisited.

An excellent, powerfully penned, thought provoking piece--

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Been on the streets in Philly and recall all the curb side writers ranting and raving as you did in this I don't think you find yourself to be lonesome here...ed & rufuz (w00f)

Very powerful work. It is easy to visualize an angry young man trying to make sense of the world in the 60s. I think you should add "writer & poet" to musician & singer on your bio. Looking forward to reading more of your writings.

Not if you always write like this!

A powerful piece of social commentary and political outrage. Enjoyed it.
