Welcome the Roar of the Rain

This poem is symbolic of dealing with strife and it also salutes a love of Nature.

Welcome the roar of the rain
welcome the thunder and storm
remember how cool it makes you feel
in the summer when it's so warm

Watch how the clouds seem to know
they must yield for the tears of the Lord
nothing's more  sacred than thunder and lightning
fighting to not be ignored

Run to the streets wet with water
puddles so deep your feet drown
stand like a tree so attentive
when the rain is pouring down

cleansing the earth for life's changes
feeding the seas not in  vain
lancing the fields, bringing life to full  stages
welcome the roar of the rain

Most refreshing. When a cloudburst occurs, I love running out in it and feeling revived. You did this very well, Darlene. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace to you. Regis
