MELANIN IS THE GIFT FROM THE EARTH, AND WE SHALL PRAISE OUR ABUNDANCE OF IT..
|
A gift molded by the earth, softly nestled like gardenias blooming within me, a child now faced with foes stuck on my derriere, sweetly intermingling in despair, creating life in hues, like a beam of life's light, leaving petals that lace the earth as I leave silent traces of my being. Mother of the World, a woman kissed by the sun, voluptuous even in darkness, blinding hearts learn and lean on me. I carry the meek and the strong, go on and try to dictate my moves and commercially fail to capture my essence. That ultrastigmatic array of inner creativity. You are too busy trying to be me and not see me. Woman kissed by the sun, feel the rhythm of my drum. Run away as you attempt to sway my king with your thong but he is as whole and as strong as I and still no match for me, because I am free to be kissed by the Sun.

| I had a hard time reading this small print, but once I did, I find it very provocative and sensual. Excellent style and form! |

| A sun worshipper you must be. My girls like to sunbathe in summertime too. The kiss of the sun keeps them tan and adorable to look at and goes with their sundresses. Worship the sun all you want. |

| Whew those words are like cuttin so smooth with a butter knife. I love the title and it fits perfect with the poem. Unfortunately, I think the hotter it gets we gonna see a whole lot more of these women kissed by the sun. I guess that'll be good for cocoa butter sales. We should invest in that since they want to look like us. All in All this is spectacular spoken Soul. Keep Rising like the sun Sista Lewis! |

Darlene,
There's a lyrical grace in the phrasing of this verse that latches onto my male hormones and sends me realing with desire for a woman kissed by the sun, even as I acknowledge that I'm under her control and no match for the rhythm of her drum.
But, boy, what I love to give it a go!
Very, very nice write, Darlene. Subtle, provocative, intoxicating.
But as a woman kissed by the sun, you already knew that, didn't you?
