the Lollipop kids thanking Dorothy.

We are here to greet you
let us get it in the clear
yesterday we suffered violence
but today there's only silence
and the sound of self-reliance
when you killed our puppeteer.
Misery, we called her
she had festered with her fear
then we soon discovered quickly
that this life can be unfair.
Yet you spared us from the torture
with a deed of recompense
now the wicked witch is dead
when you came to our defense.
We used to bare the sucker
we would toil, we would hide
with a lolligag ambition
licking layers of our pride.
We represent here now
all the kids who do the bids
who are slaving to the system
or defying on the skids.

So maybe now redemption will renew our faith to rise
today we praise the heaven's for this homicidal prize.

This is a powerfully imagined write that fuses the would-be innocence of fantasy with in-your-face social and political realism. A very thought-provoking creation. Thanks for sharing.
