Where Did Gumby Go ?

.

Let me introduce myself for those without a clue
I’m the one who got rid of someone you all knew
So since the time draws near for Halloween
I’ll tell you what happened to the guy that’s green

It was a night like this when all was amiss
And the cats meow became a hiss
Where dreams were shattered
For all those who mattered

From the signs it was clear
The apocalypse drew near
The cold of Blackness fell
where goodness did dwell

Dominions of torment and hate
chanted through the silent gate
Gumby tried to fight the coming evil
But it was time for Hades retrieval

Slowly but surely he entered the little green heart
Slashing veins and arteries with his black art
The sheen of green began to fade
Putting an end to Gumby’s crusade

So now my friends you begin to see
The final fate of Gumby’s destiny
His death is complete this I know
Cause I was him a long time ago

But I’m not dead yet!

Yes you are shut up

"Where Did Gumby Go?" flows wit-wise on and around the land of "The Living Dead" ~ striking thoughts on life and smiles to darkness.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Where Did Gumby Go ?".

Long healthy creative life, Poet.
