It is time to dip the pen
and try to make the scribble in my head
let my eyes close for a full eight hours
I nap more then sleep these days
This gives the visions a shorter time to manifest
I am not plagued with trolls or goblins or such
It is the destruction and carnage of thought and process
And dare I say it
hope

Each time the wasteland encompasses a broader reach
A viral invader seeking and destroying the blockades
Mans last attempt at humanity or civility if you will
These are the legacies
The doctrines of damnation
Greed,  Power and Envy
have undermined the principles once held dear

Amongst all this chaos
I sit on the center rug
candles protecting the perimeter
music of past memory guiding my quest
I seek the one true weapon capable of defeating the foe
Letting my mind travel to a time and place before shadow
I seek the colors familiar to me
The scent
The image that holds the relation

Finally I see the eyes I have seen for a thousand years
Showing me,
Guiding me
to the obelisk where it is kept
I let myself be filled with it
The energy coursing
My heart filling with it
So I may bring it back with me

It is the only vanguard
that will defeat the nightmares
And protect the sanctuary

Greed- Envey- Pride- And Power this is powerful and holds deep destroying thoughts and the insanity of trying to hold onto life as it was once peace, tranquility, but Love has many faces and many ways and not all are loving,. This one conjures though to look deeper into this poetic offering. No chewed in one setting. Blessed Easter Holiday,
Thank you for penning this one..

"Greed, Power and Envy
have undermined the principles once held dear"

Indeed Edward - these three are surely the most vile of the leviathan that manifest this planet in spirit and corrupt the souls of those that worship at their thrones.

Your masterful insights make this poem a powerful vision inundated with spiritual awareness' that speaks of the need for all men to find the Truth and peace.

Fantastic image ...

All that and love too...the image is fabie and the angst of
today verses yesterday and love and life and the lack thereof
rings throughout this piece.

Thanks,
~D.
