Once Upon a GumNight Dream

Gumby’s happier than he’s ever been
cause he heard from long since when
His little heart skipped a beat
hearing a voice oh so sweet

For the first time in quite a while
He went to bed wearing a smile
He dreamt of far away prairies
with elves, unicorns and fairies

The night sky was filled with glittered dust
as he sat with the only one he could trust
The air was scented with a gentle myrrh
and stories were shared as they once were

Auras were dancing free that night
mingling and tingling with delight
Hers was green with a touch of yellow
His was Turquoise like a good little fellow

Together they merged into a vibrant purple
enhancing the glow of the sacred oracle
Never before has there been such a union
bringing souls together in communion

Their eyes met and melted the world
as love’s emotion grew and swirled
lips parted slightly to invite the kiss
waiting and ready for total bliss

But just as her softness was to be his
the dream faded and began to fizz
He woke in the realization of being alone
and felt once again like a mindless drone

Sad it may be but not fully so
because the memory refused to go
The one of a spiritual haven
with his one and only maven
