He Reached for the knob......

As fingers touch the dull and pitted knob
his mind floats to the other door
the door of his real choosing
the door of life
Of Her
That is home he thought
Well not his but
Something he always yearned for.

The knob is electric cold to the touch
Shivers run through him in silent expectation.
Before he realizes it the knob turns
Counter then Clockwise –Past to Future
Passion, Joy, commitment, non-commitment
ego, fear, hope, jealousy, ecstasy, failure and love,
swirl and dance in sultry misted thoughts
All drifters in a crystallized dream

The Threshold:
Darkness dripping with the smell of sulfur.
Acid fog rolling over form, distorting truth
impaling reason and judgment.
Yellow eyes stare in the distance
with predatory hunger

Thoughts drifting in and out of reality
Arms holding her, looking into her eyes
What would it be like
if they were to meet again.
Would the walls remain up
or would the long suppression of emotion
build to explosive levels
destroying the wall as they rush to each other.

The Embrace:
Warming with all the intimacy
that once was.
Chakras aligned in pristine order
the reconnection of self
spirit to ego, Completion.

 The Truth:
Yellow eyes move closer,
The stripes are now visible,
Not black and orange one might expect
They are all mixed colors like a rainbow,
But somewhat different
something familiar

Claws move across the floor
Scarring it with the approach
Fangs drip with malignant desire
Satiated only by destruction

He prepares himself for the pain
of its claws and teeth,
as they tear and devour his flesh.
Anticipation and Fear volley for the front line

From a final end to the slow death
that dwelled in his presence and ate his reserves
Physical pain of the attack seemed inconsequential

That there would be nothing after
No haven of spirit
No longer a chance for souls to merge
Of False belief
That was the dam holding back insanity
Hope that beyond the world they could be together

of the flesh held a power
The intimacy of bodies close
the scent of mingling nuances
embracing and penetrating the senses
The ambrosial elation within a flower
wings lifting expectation
Caressing to be caressed

There is no denying the power
yet it laid in submission
When the energies emerged
joining spirit in coexistence

The Approach

The tiger’s face moves close to his
Finally! he thought
Choke on this shell that carries dreams
But there is no rendering of flesh
The jaws open as it inhales
Memories speed past him
into the tiger’s mouth
He was ready for the physical pain but not this
The tiger inhales again stealing his spirit
this pain is like nothing he could imagine
his soul was being shredded
torn were the memories and the feelings

Childhood, teen years and into adulthood
all being taken
his life force weakening with each breath
the color of his own aura reflected in its stripes
Everything of him was all but gone now,
Only She remained like She always has
he knew with the next inhalation
there would be no more him or her

With his last moments of life,
he pushed all memory of her into his cells
Dividing them making them harder to find
It was all he had left and he needed to preserve her

The jaws opened again
leaving only darkness and nonexistence

Knowing the job was done
The tiger moved off to visit his next prey.
He did not notice that deep inside his victims flesh,
were hundreds of tiny candles in each cell
contained in the heart

Somewhere in the darkness
Her finger went to his lips
