I spun a fairy tale today
Of a dusky magic land
But I had to set it aside
To meet the daily grinds demands
Visions of glittering stardust
Drifting through silver moon trees
Are more romantic than the pollen
That swells my eyes and makes me sneeze
Fairy creatures romp through my pages
Wondrous beasts who cant be tamed
They seem to haunt my wild Nissan
When it suddenly falls lame
My fairy castle with domes of ice
And majestic emerald halls
Keeps my gaze from sadly resting
On paper graveyards and dingy walls
A fairy queen whose heart of jewels
And doe-eyed beauty draw applause
Cannot save my forlorn lover
From a scolding for ten flaws
If only once upon a time could stop
Hiding behind today
And my daily path would take me
To that land far, far away
Its a dreamer's great enchantment
To conjure magic spells and laughter
Beyond the page where real life prowls
Disguising happy ever after.
