As Much As It’s Hurting Me I held you in a special place, high above everyone else I look now but there’s no trace of the angel I knew so well I tried to break your fall and keep you in my view Now I see nothing at all, tell me is it hurting you? You slid from your pedestal and knocked me to my knees Broke a wing lost your halo and shattered all my dreams Your heart turned to stone and left me feeling weak Is your demise hurting you as much as it’s hurting me? I wanted to protect your wings and leave you in the clouds Once I heard my angel sing but the voice has faded now Your halo was my guiding light now I’m lost without you You left me feeling cold as ice, tell me is it hurting you? Sandy...this is a wonderful heartfelt write, I too agree with Jessica, this with a few more stanza's would make a beautiful and spectacular song. Allen
